My name is Mathilda MacMillan and I am a licensed Acupuncturist. I began my journey in holistic medicine and first experienced acupuncture at the age of 12 years old. My mother took me in for treatments to help me through my own personal medical journey. This was the main catalyst into my career of becoming a holistic practitioner. I was immediately intrigued by all of the different and incredible modalities there are to the medicine – from cupping to herbs and of course the acupuncture itself. I was able to connect and see results from my treatments and there was no need in convincing me that Oriental Medicine was tried and true. My passion for the medicine took off and my decision to pursue it as a career was solidified when I first started working for Dr. Pendleberry in 2017. He is an amazing mentor and I am grateful to be able to learn and follow in his footsteps.
At my office, I am committed to providing holistic care to optimize an individual’s personal health and find a balance in one’s lifestyle. This is accomplished through use of acupuncture, cupping, heat therapy, gua sha, red light therapy, Chinese herbs, nutritional advice, and lifestyle changes. I treat a wide range of diseases and disorders for individuals of any age. Some examples include pain management, headaches, stress and anxiety, asthma, infertility, menstrual disorders, metabolic disorders, general fatigue and much more. My goal and mission is to assist in one’s health journey so that they may find balance and harmony in their lifestyle.
Formal Education:
- 2019 Associates Degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences at Moorpark Community College
- 2023 Masters of Science in Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine at Dongguk University of Los Angeles school of Oriental Medicine
- Currently enrolled in the Doctorate Program at Dongguk University of Los Angeles school of Oriental Medicine
- 6 years of internship experience under the supervision of Dr. Pendleberry
