What Do I Treat?
This is the most common question because most people don’t know what can be treated with Chinese Medicine. Remember the general purpose is to increase and promote the movement of nourishment in the body and eliminate the waste products and pathogenic influences that are inhibiting it. With that said it is quite easy to see how Chinese Medicine can treat many conditions.
Injuries of all kind, chronic or acute: This is easy to understand, a sprain, strain or contusion is a injury where damage has occurred and needs to be repaired. This repair process can be greatly influenced by Acupuncture, Herbs, Low Level Laser, Cupping, and other modalities I can offer.

How Do I Treat.
A clear understanding of the condition is needed, if the condition is an illness or injury, acute or chronic.
Most conditions have multiple phases of treatment, for example; If in the past day or two you acquired an acute back strain from lifting , but you are in good general health, it may take only one or two treatments with stretching and exercises afterwards to heal the condition. On the other hand, if you are out of shape and posses a chronic history of back pain, it could take 6-10 treatments along with stretching and exercise, and then a few follow up treatments a week or two afterwards.

How I treat the condition depends on the diagnosis in Chinese medical terms; below are examples.
Lets say you came in with a acute cold or flu:
Herbs are usually the main treatment. Being fast acting at first, they help speed up the healing process, then are modified to treat the underlining condition that allowed the illness to happen in the first place if applicable. Also cupping and microcurrent with or without needles can be used to speed up the initial acute condition.
Chronic digestive problems such as bloating, gas, abdominal pain, cramping and cravings for carbohydrates and/or sugars:
Dietary changes are always needed in chronic conditions along with herbs, acupuncture with or without needles, TDP lamp therapy, and some dietary supplements.
